Minerva Craft Blogger Network: Sew Over It - 1940s Wrap Dress

Hi pinups! This vintage style Sew Over It pattern has been on my to-sew list for a while so once again I'm using the wonderful Minerva Craft Blogger Network as an excuse/reason to actually make it! I did wonder if the pattern might be a bit formal for me, or look to much like work wear, so I made sure to choose a bold, colourful fabric in hopes to make it a little more stylish and modern.

Sewing Summary:
Notions: A button and popper at the waist.
Sewing time: Half a day.
Modifications: Nothing at all.
Fit: Surprisingly perfect!
Difficulty: Confident beginners and beyond.
Watch out for: Making sure your fabric doesn't slip about like mine!
Make Again?: Yes!

  1. What other kind of fabric would you recommend for this dress? I'm generally not a big fan of crepe. :)
